Timeline: How long will it take?

  • 3 weeks to 12 months, depending on the project scope and queue of commissions.
  • I only accept a limited number of commissions every year. I recommend you secure your spot at least 2 months before for most projects.
  • Holiday commissions: I accept commissions until November 10th for December 24th delivery.
  • The planning stage is critical. Allow 1 week for this phase.

Communication & Planning

First, we talk about your idea and options for the work. This planning stage is very important. The more I know about the subject and your connection to it, the better job I can do to create a special memory for you. We can communicate through email, phone, Zoom or even face to face if you are within driving distance. We’ll talk about the subject, size, colors, background and other details.

Commission Pricing

The commission fee will vary based on the size and complexity of the drawing or painting and the surface you choose. Wood and metal costs can vary widely depending on the type and size. I offer flexible payment plans for every budget.

What’s it typically cost?
My standard commission rate is by the square inch. So if the painting is 16″ x 20″, the commission fee will be $360 + a design fee of $25 for a subject on traditional wrapped canvas , unframed like Festive Friend (German Shepard) for a total of $385.00

A 50% deposit is due, including any shipping and taxes (if applicable) upon approval. Payment is accepted online via credit card, PayPal, CashApp or Venmo.
