Description
Original painting created with hand torn paper from another original painting, both in acrylic paint. This was part of the March 2025 collab challenge. We had to use one hue (I chose blue) and had to tear up / take apart the first creation to create something new. Originally I was going to make a different tree from the first tree, then while I was ripping up the original painting, I had the idea to create a soaring spirit. They are intentionally ambiguous. Is it a dragon? An angel? A spiritual being? Personally for me it is a representation of letting go of the prison of my own doubts and fears, giving myself permission to be free in my own mind.
