Description
I was inspired to create this painting about Togo, the Siberian husky who is famous for the serum run to Nome after researching his story as part of a heroic dogs project I was working on. Starting with layers of acrylic paint, I added wax markers, foil decorator stickers, oil pastel and oils to go beyond a likeness. I use variations in line, color and form to breathe life and energy into my subjects. You can learn more about Togo by visiting this article by the American Kennel Club.
