Description
This abstract landscape painting is part of a series North Georgia Dreaming, inspired by many hikes and camping trips where I sketched overlooks and views of the Cohuttas in North Georgia (USA). The painting was created by laying out an initial background layer with a thin wash of paint using a big brush while looking at a sketch. I then painted in lines and shadows, adding thicker layers of textured paint with brushes and palette knives. The result is a loose landscape painting meant to capture feeling and mood.

Materials: Artist quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
Size: 20 inches wide x 16 inches high, 7/8 inch depth, painted on all sides.
All original artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. This painting is sold unframed.
