Description
There is a vivid light that filters through the woods at sunset in my childhood home in Florida. The glow as the light draws down and begins to fade from the sky is mesmerizing. This is part of a series of intuitive paintings using layers of loosely painted acrylic colors applied with brushes and palette knives to capture a reflective mood. Instead of working directly from a reference, I create sketches in a notebook first and then paint from memory.
Materials: Artist quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
