Description
I sketched and painted this cherry blossom tree I came across in Blackburn Park, Brookhaven, Georgia. This is part of a series of intuitive paintings using layers of loosely painted acrylic colors applied with brushes and palette knives to capture a reflective mood. Instead of working directly from a reference, I create sketches in a notebook first and then paint from memory.
Materials: Artist quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
Size: 11 inches wide x 14 inches high, 5/8 inch depth.
