Description
Winter Beginnings #1 is about the secret pleasure and allure of the unexpected appearance of the familiar. Abstract shapes occurring in nature resemble fish and cats and other everyday things when looked at closely. Glazed layers build forms that glow with hidden stories when random objects with no intended connection are brought together.
Created by glazing thin layers of acrylic paint and medium then adding thicker layers of paint with brushes and palette knives.
Materials: Artist quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas and wood.
