I started this painting late one night after teaching a floral class. I blocked out where I wanted the flowers to go while adding layers of many other colors. I then brought it to Blue Ridge Georgia to continue working on it. A surprise torrential rain came down that Saturday. I added in more clouds and rain drops and more layers of background colors and flower details to celebrate the end of the rain.

Description

A bright yellow abstract  bouquet of hibiscus flowers explode off the canvas with raindrops and clouds. Layers of acrylic paint in blues, reds, greens, purples, oranges and yellows create a glowing background for a pop of vibrant flowers. Subtle white thread was hand sewn to add more textural interest. This piece will liven up any space and cheer up your day.
