Description
In the spring and summer the fields and landscapes around me are full of wild flowers. In this study of a field of flowers, I try to capture the surreal feeling of being surrounded by glowing yellows, oranges, blues and greens. I added accents of metallic gold to emphasize the hazy spring and summer vibe.
Media is acrylic with a layer of artist quality oil pastel on 100% cotton, medium-weight stretched canvas primed with acid-free white acrylic gesso. Size is 5″ tall by 5″ wide and .75″ deep. Painted on all sides and stapled in the back. Can be hung with or without a frame. This painting is sold with a deep frame.
