Description
Peace uses animals, figures and objects in a symbolic way to talk about the challenges we’ve faced together the past couple of years and a message of hope for the future. While I planned out the composition and theme, while painting I followed my feelings about color and what to include or remove. This is the second painting in the Pantheon series. I’ve always been fascinated by mythology and folk tales. One day I wondered what kind of gods would people in the future say were part of our pantheon?
My process is a mix of research and intuitive exploration. Layers and layers of paint are added and subtracted to give different textures and effects. Every mark and color choice is part of the visual story.
