Description
Walking through the woods, there is a magic to the way the light plays through the trees. Sometimes the light seems to shift into almost a monochrome of green. That was the inspiration for Tree Songs: Secret Woods #03. This is part of a series of intuitive paintings using layers of loosely painted acrylic colors applied with brushes and palette knives to capture a reflective mood. Instead of working directly from a reference, I create sketches in a notebook first and then paint from memory. This painting is painted on all edges.
