Description
Study of Spring tulips basking in the morning sunshine. This is part of a series of floral paintings inspired by my favorite time of year. This painting was created using layers of loosely painted acrylic colors applied with brushes and palette knives. Instead of working directly from a reference, I create sketches in a notebook first and then paint from memory.
Materials: Artist quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas.
Size: 8 inches wide x 8 inches high, 5/8 inch depth.
