Description

I sketched and began painting this cherry blossom tree I came across in Blackburn Park at the Brookhaven Cherry Blossom festival. There was a small stand of them on a hill top in the park.  This is part of a series of intuitive paintings using layers of loosely painted acrylic colors applied with brushes and palette knives to capture a reflective mood. Instead of working directly from a reference, I create sketches in a notebook first and then paint from memory.

Materials:  Artist quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas.

Size: 11 inches wide x 14 inches high, 5/8 inch depth.

All original artwork includes a certificate of authenticity. This painting is sold unframed.

Artist enhanced prints are available upon request.
